Hattiesburg Bibliography

Subject bibliographies are helpful to genealogical and historical researchers because they allow one to know what has been published on a topic of interest. The University of Southern Mississippi has published a great subject bibliography of Hattiesburg which includes Forrest and Lamar Counties.

SMGHS Seminar

South Mississippi Genealogical & Historical Society is hosting its annual seminar June 23 at the Peck House Annex in Hattiesburg. For more information, visit the seminar page. Speakers include Grady Howell who will address the Civil War and Mexican War and Charles Sullivan who will talk about Beauvoir, researching the Gulf Coast counties, and Methodist camp meetings.
