Newton County Historical and Genealogical Society is announcing the publication of World War II Veterans, Newton County, compiled by Terry Lange and Harold Graham. Columbus' Owen-Richardson-Owen House (1907) - Original owner was a commercial nursery owner.

Tallahatchie County's 2nd District Courthouse (1910) - great architectural details and Emmitt Till's trial

Newton County's American Legion Post No. 89 Hut (1934) - rustic, built of logs

Gulfport's Turkey Creek Community Historic District (1870s) - founded by freed slaves
